I know I said it a while ago that I would do costume commissions and now that I've got a bit more free time, I feel ready to take one on. I'm currently trying to finish a prop commission, as soon as I've done that I will start a commission.
However, it needs to be a sort of simple cosplay, nothing detailed like a Sera Myu cosplay (for example). I specialise in Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew and Mermaid Melody costumes (though I may consider any other Magical Girl).
Also, don't expect the commission to cost around £50-£90 as that's not realistic. I use good quality material, none of that satin shit. I also spend a lot of time and become very obsessed with perfection (but even more-so because I'll be making it for someone else.
SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY. I've had a case where I've made a prop commission for someone, and after constant chasing up for payments to this particular person, and I got so sick of being given the run-around and put so much time and effort into something I didn't really want to do in the first place. Thus payments will be prompt otherwise consequences will be provided.

Aside from that little rant, I really look forward to doing something like this. Though if you do consider doing so, make it a commission that is for many months in advance - as this will be my first COSTUME commission, so I need to get into a proper routine, so any prices quoted will be based on roughly how much time I've spent on a similar costume. Though I'll try to be as quick as possible and provide updates.

Costs for costume will vary but it will definitely be over £100. I'll probably discount it if it were for a friend.

Anyway, I'll only be taking on one for now as it'll be done alongside my Super Sailor Moon cosplay. I'll pick and choose which one I'd like to do, whichever I feel most comfortable doing - so bear in mind, it won't be done on a first-come first served basis.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been thinking lately, and doing a bit too much browsing over other cosplayers. I really need to have better pictures of my cosplays, that's not to say I don't think any of the photos I do have in my gallery are bad, but I need to have pictures which have a nice scenic background - do photoshoots in my local areas.
I've always been afraid to, worried about chavs heckling me, or getting my costume ruined. Yadda, yadda.

I have friends who are great photographers, so I think I may ask them! I'm actually hoping to get snow this year, so I can take some nice (but going to be absolutely freezing!) pictures done of my Mew Berry cosplay, since this seems to have a lack of decent shots!
When the weather gets warmer, I'll whip out more of my older cosplays! (excluding classic Sailor Moon and Neo Queen Serenity).

When looking through some Expo photos, I was pleased with how many came out, but some photos where I though "ooh perfect", but then my wig sort of ruined it, where it kept sliding back, or the fringe was too separated, exposing my wig cap. I would of appreciated it if people had pointed it out or fixed it for me, I wouldn't of been offended! But alas, I have no photoshop, and no photshopping skills >.>

Anyway, aside from that matter, I'm going to be starting another Sailor Moon cosplay hopefully this weekend. Will be doing Super Sailor Moon (anime version) for Birmingham Expo next year (as I am unable to get time off for work for BOTH May AND October London Expo.
I'm looking to go to Brimingham Expo and either London Film and Comic Con or Hyper Japan <3 It gives me a chance to explore other conventions as I've only been to London MCM..
I was going to do Mew Mint for Birmingham, really wanted to do the cafe version, but Rachel :iconchibisteampunk: insisted on doing the battle outfits (as she wants to do Ichigo). But I really feel like whipping out Mew Berry again! <3

I'm also very settled in my Apprenticeship, learning so much! :meow:

So that's pretty much it lately, been a bit busy, but hey!
